Learning course to create financial personnel who meet international sustainability needs
Mr. Kittiya Todhanakasem, Director of the Thai Banking Academy launches Thailand Taxonomy training course This is based on official documents that standardize the grouping of economic activities that take into account environmental sustainability. To respond to the policy of the Bank of Thailand (BOT) in the area of banking for sustainability. This is in line with Thailand's strategic plan to reduce carbon emissions according to the Paris Agreement.
“Thailand Taxonomy” course will help financial sector personnel understand goals and indicators in their carbon reduction journey. The first phase focuses on the energy and transportation sectors, which may be used as one factor in considering loans or investment in new projects as well as supporting the business sector during the transition for a sustainable environment.
TBAC is also collaborating with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) on an E-Learning course that provides sustainability principles for credit and investment considerations.
